I got home this evening and the wife had the ED SULLIVAN show tuned in. This show was "a little before my time" (I've never seen it) but the musical portion was the Carpenters this episode. Now I DID grow up listening to their music and recall when Karen died, but tonight was the first time I saw what she looked like  . Along with a BEAUTIFUL voice, she was a very attractive woman and on the "show", she was the drummer of the group.

While not a classic curvy beauty, she was attractive. Now as been said, if only Mama Cass had shared her ham sandwich with her, they might both still be here.......

She had a very pleasant, smooth singing voice. Although the Carpenters style of music(easy listening/elevator music) is not my cup of tea.
It indeed was sad, she basically, slowly killed herself.
