Once again I have pulled the planter with the 8050. And again it has done the job fairly trouble free. The air conditioner was a little low on 134. How I must look to the neighbors, running a 40 old tractor and 16 boxes to fill on the planter. My neighbors all seem to be running central fill planters and some go 10mph. I just finished tonight but should have been done two weeks ago If it hadn't have been for so much wind early when I wanted my 32% sprayed on.
As for the 200, it spends spring time pulling around a rock picker. I rent one farm that made a rock picker a good investment. I also put AC hydraulics couplers out the back and tied the hoses into the basket. Lowering the basket pumps oil out for the auger on the seed wagon.

I would not feel bad
I myself just finished with the 7045 pulling a DA385 12row. The BTOs around me certainly get more done in a day but this is just STO |

I feel pretty good running my AC's!
We farm 950 acres, corn and soys, my 78 year old father and me. We use an 8070-for tillage/applicator, 8050-12 row Kinze corn planter/brushog, 8050fwa-Kinze 40' bar on 21" spacings bean planter/cart/tillage, the 8010 is on the Hardi sprayer, only gets unhooked for service, 7060, 7020, 200's and XT's for the ditcher, grain augers, grain carts, box blade, water pump, 3pt spot sprayer, 3pt replant planter and so on.
As long as I can keep these ol gals running dependably and can get parts, I do not plan to spend 100+K on a used tractor that I can't work on. Our machine/repair input per acre is a fraction of others around us. At some point, some are working just to pay off the equipment that they think they need to keep up with the neighbors. How much is enough? Leon B MO |

Uncle always said "Fill the back of the shovel and the front will take care of itself".

Unit3, Glad to hear that your old ACs are still earning their keep. That means I am not alone with my AC 7060,7040,Gleaner.
Mother Nature is always in charge. Can’t blame you for waiting til the wind calmed down to apply 32% UAN. It’s some high priced stuff! Two weeks ago I sidedressed my winter wheat with $710/ton 32%. The earlier (March 2022) Pop-up(green-up) N applied on frozen wheat ground was $591/ton 28%. How’s your Iowa N prices compare? Hope your 2022 growing season is bountiful. I'm glad you all are having a successful planting season. I finished my soybeans Friday with the 7060 and 6 row no till JD 7000 planter. I planted 65 acres of corn and 65 acres of soys. I'm sure happy that before my mechanic quit we got the Sanden ac compressor on the tractor.
