Man, I gotta stop this as I did not realize the A-C list had gotten to this point, until I wrote it down!
I have few compared to others I know here in Texas and I am still impressed as to how many A-C's made their way down here.
Likely has something to do with the "Texas Proving Grounds" A-C had down here and I have been told that a number of the pictures A-C used in literature were taken in Texas.
I can only assume the proving grounds were up in the panhandle?

I don't know how many Texas posters are on the forum. Most of the AC owners I know from local shows don't have computers or care to join in here if they have one. I'm Ken. Some folks call me Kenny. I'm 71 years young. I pull a CA and have a barn/shop full of Bs Cs and B/C/CA parts. I have one complete handcrank B that a friend referbished thats together and 4 more engines built that will run. There is enough small Allis pieces scattered around to build 2 Cs and 3 more Bs if I get one more engine together and running. I grow produce for the market to finance my tractor projects but that don't allow me much time to restore any of my ACs because I'm planting and harvesting 12 months out of the year.
I did take some time off from gardening to help my Friend Gary restore his 38 B #751. That was a fun project and something I was very happy to see turn out as good as it did.
My youngest son has a CA in pieces in his shop up the hill from mine. He keeps saying he wants to make a puller out of it. But. He has 5 or six other projects including building a new bigger & better restoration shop that at his age are more important. Strange as it my seem it was he who found that CA first and then found me my first B about 10 years ago. Maybe Longer. It's all his fault that I'm in the mess I'm in. I'm not complainin. He took the time to get my 52 Willys 4WD Pickup running, driving, and stopping again after it sat in the shed for 15 years. It helped for his mom to say she needed HER truck running.

I have a 38-B #751 that Ken and I restored. Could not have done this without his knowledge of A.C. B-Models - turned out great and mostly original tractor. I also have a 80 Model 24-18 Power King; 73-model 16-14 and 67 model 24-12 are both Economy tractors. I guess my favorite of these garden tractors (other than my A.C.) is my 58 model Country Squire. Also collect oil cans and maytag engines and washers. But, of course, my wife thinks I have entirely too much junk in the way. Sometimes I tend to agree but just can't give it up. Thanks everyone for all the great information I get off this forum. I don't post much, but I do read it every day. I am not a farmer, just a collector. All my Dad's family were farmers in Cooperstown, ND. Guess that is where I get some of my love for old tractors. Thanks again.

I'm in Beaumont. I have a 1955 WD45LP that runs but needs tires and a lot of work. I have a 1941 B That runs but it could still use some TLC and a 1938 B on steel that I haven't done much to yet.

I live in Weslaco, in the Rio Grande Valley. I have a '59 D-14 LPG that I'm just beginning to tinker with. I also have a '47 Case VAC. I hope to have more time to really get into these tractors when I retire next year....can't wait. Larry
