I am looking into getting some sweet corn plates made for a Allis corn planter was wondering if anybody needed any while I’m getting them made not sure on the price if anybody is interested let me know the more I order the cheaper they get thanks Bob

Does it make a difference what planter?  I might be interested, I have a 500 planter.

Many seed companies will provide compatible plates with purchase of graded seed.  AC plates are the same as  JD290 series planters, and older style IH plates.  AC's require a center adapter, which is readily available.  Have a neighbor that made his own, by  shaping the seed pockets with bondo and using a dremel tool to shape the pockets!Wink

Ted I’m not sure we have the 72 unit if you have a old plate we can compare sizes also if anybody has the adapter to selll I would be interested

I use regular corn plates to plant sweet corn. it's a cut-down ih 450 and for sweet corn just use a smaller sized cell and/or slow the set down. I have planted acres and acres with it over the years with great stands/spacing.

They sell the adapters and plates. Click on the "Support " tab where you can download everything you need to know about planter plates.

Some seed sources will recommend a plate number for their seed.

We would have a number of Allis sweet corn plates. Also a few plastic (They do not work very well). Would have some adaptors for Allis and JD plates.785-353-2392
