Has anyone on here made steps for the 8000 series tractor to aid in washing the front windshield? As I get older I look for ways to make my farming safer. Falling off the tractor while washing the windows is something I want to avoid. I have some ideas but thought maybe someone had already invented that wheel.

One leg on frame rail one on steps wash with one arm hold on with other. If all you have on the glass is dry dust use a California duster.

I use a telescoping squeegee. It has about an eight foot handle.

Keep your feet on the ground. Get her done!

I like your ideas, I think my wife bought me one of those to do the house windows!! I'll have to find it, I guess that tells you how that went. I hate washing house windows, I usually have something else pressing to do. I think I am going to make something to bolt on the frame rail for a little better footing for when the tractor is away from home. Thanks for the suggestions. Lets all farm safer as we become seasoned.

what about bolting on one or two of those  folding steps that you find on a grain trailer or fab somting up and show us some pictures  i am all for steps on tractors and pickups  instead of sliping off the three point arm or the back bumper , but i think whats more important is somthing to grab ahold of
