Looks like it is out of a forklift. I would say it is G=gas 4=4cyl, 27=2.7 liter. The engine div bought some  japan engines and branded them AC. This looks like a jap engine.
It is less than 200 cu.in., a 2200 engine was 3.3 liter or 200 cu.in. I don't think you would want this in your WD.

sam t thanks after posting and doing some research the g427 is a continental tm 27 163 cubic inches 72 hp has a 5 main bottom end wich makes it appealing for the wd. the g436 i cant find anything on. but will try your suggestion of 3.6 liter. this is what the next engine in the wd may look like. its not mine just a picture borrowed from the web but i like the coponents from the head to the crank trigger and fuel injection.
