Wow!!!!
Dave That looks very familer. Bob Vanderploeg and myself found that tractor at the GOTO in Tulare CA. searching and asking around if there was any AC in the area. Ending up buying 3 tractors in the deal. I sold it because ....well..... I bought another D 21 at the time. Thanks Dave for buying this and restoring it better than new !!!! Those rear tires cleaned up really good.

Take care, Darryl Krause Lynden WA.

Dave's collection is one of a kind and it is always great to visit when I can. Viewed that 17 with SFW when I went up to snatch my CA a month or so back and drop a part with Dave. Never get enough time to view his goodies and Dave is definitely a bad influence on me!

Dave, it was your D15II that my father and I noted in a magazine years ago and now I am likely picking up #4 soon. Yes, you are a "bad influence" as mentioned because your SFW 17 got me to thinking about a "Cotton Special" D15II that needs to be in my shop and it looks like she is gonna have to go on my trailer soon . . . . .

Nice work Dave. What is the size of the rear tires? 13.6 or 14.9?  It looks like the tractor sits nice and level. I have a D-17IV diesel with 14.9 x 38" rears and was hoping that the 16" spoke single front will make it sit level. It's another project on the long list.
Nothing is impossible if it is properly financed

Calvin: The rears are 13.6x38, and yes it is close on the front clearance. The front wheel is a 7.50x16. I understand why you see a lot of single front wheels with five rib utility tires on them. There is a quarter inch clearance for the front tire, Armand DeYoung's Son gave me a pair of those, and the center rib was wore down from where it would have been new. I still have th o work out the tin work, build a wire harness, and work on the intake heater. I have rebuilt the rear lift shaft bushings, lift pump, power director, steering shaft and bushings, all kinds of bearings, everything that seemed to have any wear at all was replaced. If it worked good or like new, I left it alone.  Dave.

What a GREAT JOB!!!  I can just imagine the things that had to be done to fully restore that unit.
Also, what a RARE UNIT.  A D-17, high clearance, diesel.  Does not get any better.
Again.  An Outstanding Job.  Beautiful!!
Good Luck!
