I've had a Simplicity 6016rt rear tine tiller for years and I'd like to know who actually builds them. Does Simplicity have their own factory or does someone else build them on contract?
And finally, Was Simplicity ever associated with Allis Chalmers? |

Early garden tractors were built by Simplicity for AC and then later AC bought Simplicity---Don't know the exact dates.

Simplicity & AC were together for over 20 yrs. Their parts are interchangeable. When Ac fell on hard times in late 70's and early 80's, I think a group of employees bought simplicity back from AC and the companys still goin today.

Thanks for the info. everyone. Good to know that there was a connection between Allis and Simplicity.
I saw an older Simplicity lawn tractor the other day I'm going to have to check into now. |

I believe it may have been a Snapper designed unit. Simplicity had owned Snapper for several years before Briggs and Stratton acquired both companties.
