Does anyone know how to wire a silent starter for a '46 Dodge Car? These had a belt drive from the front of the engine. After starting, it became the generator. I have one I want to start a 1 cylinder Witt motor.

go to simpletractors.com. the older simplicty and allischalmers garden tractors used a starter generator. you can get a wiring diagram there.

My Case with 10hp Kohler uses that too. Delco-Remy. My starter/generator is at the rebuilders now. My big wire goes to the starter relay, small wire to the voltage regulator. But hey, compare other answers too!
