This is the D10 Series 3 with hi/low transmission, factory 3 point, just unloaded it, seems to be ok, no gear jumping! The wheel color, grille & muffler are wrong, anything else?? Almost forgot, got it for $1900, Don't ya just love when everybody at the action is looking for green red & blue??? |

Hard to read the serial, paint too thick and that front rockshaft is in the way. I may have done OK on this one! Had a low tractor fund & kinda cold, almost went home glad I didn't !!!

You came out great on that one. Went to the local Young Farmers auction yesterday but everything I wanted some one else wanted more. Have not seen any Allis there in several years.

Be sure to check the 3 bolts that hang the 3 point hitch, below the rear. The achilles heel of these tractors is that all 3 bolts stick upward, and tend to work their way loose. If the last one in there is the only one holding the 3ph, it soon strips out or breaks off...

Keith, that is the tractor that I was looking at. Seemed to be a really straight tractor with little wear for our area. Glad to see someone on here got it (what a bargain!!), I was kicking myself for not going but already had a D10 and didn't have the shed space. Where are you located? I'm in Red House.

yep, folks round here use to bragg how fast their 140 could row up tobacco land .... then they saw our little ca making 2 rows at a time !! this is the 3rd d-10 for me, they are small enough not to compact the land, yet still plenty of power !!

If those 3 bolts are like the ones on the D14, here's what I did. I ran a tap in and out of the holes until I got all of the crap out of the holes. I probably used half dozen cans of brake cleaner to clean them out. I got thread rod , and cut pieces off of it. I put lock tite on the pieces and ran them into the holes. You need to lock two nuts together to get them into the holes. I put the three point up in place and put the nuts on, then I ran a second nut on each of them to lock the first nut in place. Now it's real solid. It was coming lose like Dave mentioned, but not anymore.
