We started this project 2 or 3 months ago. No Bolt, Screw, Gear or Bearing came off without a major fight. Previous owner must have
dropped several lumber loads on it. Thanks Dennis A (IL)for the weed seed bagger spring. Will post more pictures when we actually combine in 3 or 4 weeks. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

We have a farm and home store chain in central Iowa called Theissen's. The store across from where I work in Pella actually has a decent selection of A-C single decals. I'm pretty sure the one in the pics is one they have. I'll take a look tomorrow if you like.

It was my opinion just a year or two ago that a scourkleen was obsolete in the weed free fields nowadays during harvest. My bad. I have not seen so many chemical resistant weeds in soybean fields like this year!!! Some fields remind me of the '70s!!! Weeds are making a huge come back around here. Ryan

Do they even make scourkleen's anymore? I haven't seen one on a combine since the 1970s and that machine was from the mid 60s. |

We always called those "pig weeds". They are pretty hard to kill.

There are 3 varieties.
Pig weeds are old (around here a long time and are killed by roundup. Water hemp is similar and harder to kill. Palmer came from down south in the last 5-7 years. Been seeing it a little here and there. Now it's everywhere. Roundup won't touch it. Have to spray with Liberty, Cobra, or similar spray when the plant's really small, and they grow FAST. The days of nice clean fields with 2 pass spraying are over here. Check out Purdue University's website for more info. |

Creston, the decals came from Jensales. They have one of the largest selections I've seen. Prices were the best out of the top decal sellers. Duane PS, Almost forgot, They have a video of Rachel herself showing how to apply them !!!
