    Posted: 16 Aug 2018 at 10:21pm
A friend is making reproduction Scour Kleen decals, and I goofed up at Hutch forgetting to measure mine, and now I'm 850 miles away. Does anyone have a decal like this on their Scour Kleen they could measure? Thanks!

Thank you very much!
One more question...what is the background color on your decal? Is it white or kind of the gold color like mine? I don't know if the color of mine is from aging, or if it was always that way.

It’s lighter than your picture, but it’s not white. It’s not a decal and it’s painted on, I’m sure all of them were at the time. It probably started out as white or cream but 65 years have turned it tan/yellow.

Ok, so probably white or cream with a thin red outline (according to mine). Can anyone else vouch for that? Reproductions are being made and we want them as close to original as possible.
Thanks!

I am no expert but with all that fine print involving the patent numbers I seriously doubt it was painted on. Ryan

If it’s not painted on then my decal is rusting!

I am no metalurgis but paint and vinyl doesn't rust. It must be the metal underneath. Ryan 😀
