an  11000 is a turbocharged 516, direct injected updated version of the old buda 516. AC used it in the HD11, and 745 loader, as well as others. last I know it's latest revision was in N7's. want to see a pic of this tractor, and learn more.

I was at the sale in August and i believe that was the same tractor that supposedly sold that day. It had the big motor in it out a an AC crawler and it was turboed. They said there were 11 of these tractors built and only two were built with the big AC motor in them. That day it sold for 7500 and they said it was going down south to a collector. If i remember correctly it was crab steer??? Just a neat looking machine.

o-k...i looked all over the web, and found the one that RW saw, then finally found on cornlea's site that it sold for $5500. i did find out they made them in Kansas, and found some stories and video's on them, the spelling of shafer is different for different stories on them, also the said that one had a 21000 AC motor in it, apparently they tried different engines, as some had a cummins and other motors! what would the 21000 motor be over the 11000 motor? that is some kinda good lookin tractor for being as old as it is!
