That story may have been true 40 years ago, but Dodge trucks hold up pretty darn good nowadays. I sold my 04 Cummins Dually with 151,000 miles back in 2016 for $5000 over book  and never had $1000 in repairs into it, 90% of its life towing a 14k trailer. Bought a 2016 Duramax dually for the Allison (heard Dodge was having troubles throwing codes)....not a bad truck, but not the truck the Dodge was! 100 miles less per tank, also.

I think the drop in mileage is pretty standard across the board..... due to EPA requirements.
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

In an age when computers have replaced human thinking how can anyone expect any one brand to be better than another other than components? Vehicles are engineered by the same goofballs that came from the same colleges with the same educations that draw them up on the same brand of computer. Show me any iota of difference in that other than who made the electricity that powers the computer each company is using. One's better than the other blah the one difference between one to the next is the shape of the plastic letters glued to the metal leaf thickness of the hood.

Just sold my 2012 Dodge 2500. It was a 4 door long bed, 4x4. Had around 177xxx miles on it when it left here. It was a really good truck, just as good as the 09 Ford F350 I had before it. Dodge has come a long way in the last 10 years as far as the interiors and what not in my opinion. Im not sure how anybody can drive a new chevy truck, have you seen the front end of them?

I think the ones that last longer than others just weren't paying attention on the day their expiration/self destruction date came and went. Onboard computer glitch or something.

BAM ! dang ner lost BOTH eardrums and made brown pants !!
Radio came on, with 'last volume setting'.... which was LOUD ! TOO DANG LOUD...

Usually just after that happens you hear a heavily accented Japanese voice screaming You Die GI, You Die GI.

Wife's Toyota has radar built into the cruise control so if you have it set for 70 and someone slows in front of you it will automatically slow the car down and then speed it back up after they are out of the way. Like to drove me nuts until I figured out what it was doing.
