Anybody on here travel on it lately? Yes I know its now in pieces but it seems like there are major parts of it still in operation. I would be starting in Missouri and headed west. I wouldn't mind laying my fat butt on a very southern California beach in Jan or Feb.

Small portion of the old U.S. 66 goes through Kansas and then Oklahoma.  Lots of things to see in Oklahoma.  Texas, New Mexico, Arizona then California.

The only section of it I have traveled is thru Amarillo TX, lots antique stores, restaurants, etc. thru that area.
I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

Many stretches in MO are continuous as thru Devil's Elbow, numerous are dead ends as the old Gravois Road thru Cuba where turns into outer roads for I-44.    Around Springfield MO gets lost to time in many locations.
