i managed to buy a part to my cat last year by calling owners. I found machine owners from my "neighbourhood" and called them. I was looking through offers of selling whole machines. Here you have offers of selling Caterpillar 953C
Maybe you will find someone willing to sell a root rake. Good luck.

a fellow i know made one outta a bunch of worn sub soiler shanks, got them cheap!

Bltfarms: I posted an inquiry here several years back and someone was kind enough to post a pic of one, but mysteriously it vanished, just shortly after it was posted.  Not sure why that happened.  Wish I could be of more help.
