Looks like the front pump drive has come loose on my D17 series 2.  Is it possible to get the crank pulley off without pulling the front bolster?  It's got power steering if that makes a difference.  Can a guy get in there and drill and tap for bigger bolts?  I'd sure hate to pull the bolster.  Those power steerinlines are a booger to get back on.

You have to pull the front axle.  The pulley will not come off without a gear puller.  I don't see how you would be able to drill the holes with it on the tractor anyway.  It would be damn near impossible to get those holes lined up straight.  If you want it fixed right you can't cut corners.

That's what I was afraid of.  Not looking to cut corners, just look2to see what can be done.

Aaron, you might pull the radiator, front pump and turn the pulley to the point one of the four bolt holes is up come through the front pump cutout in the bolster with using a long drill bit re-drill the four holes out and rethread then one at a time.
