Topic: Rebuilt Gleaner Governors?Posted: 24 Aug 2018 at 10:52am |

I have a Gleaner K2 combine with the GM250 motor and the governor shaft bearings are sounding pretty rough. It needs to be rebuilt or replaced. Used ones out of the bone yard seem to be about the same condition and also need to be rebuilt. Does anyone rebuild these old OEM gleaner governors from the GM250? I think the biggest challenge may be removing the pulley from the shaft to get to the bearing and oil seal. Does anyone sell aftermarket governors that are a direct match to this one without significant modification? The AGCO part# is 71188609. They are discontinued from AGCO. I'd like to just swap this one out with a rebuilt or aftermarket that bolts right in without screwing around with new linkage pins/rods. Any guidance would be appreciated.

I have one of those belt driven governors that I would sell. It was brought new to put on a V8 that we had in a Farmall M that we were farming with. Send me a PM with your email address and I can send you some pictures.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |
