Got one of the rims back (the worst) and it's beautifully repaired, but I can't get that damned tire to center. I've got it on the rim, with the tube, but I air it up and The bead won't stay centerd? Any ideas?

I really don't want to say this, but is the rim round? I'd measure across it three or four times just to make sure.
Have you lubed the bead with anything? Soapy water will work to let the tire slide a little easier. Sometimes we used to have to smack the tire with a sledge to get it to slide into the correct spot.
Watch your air pressure, don't put too much in.
Good luck, I don't like messing with tires anymore, but for the price the tire shops want...

Yes, it's round. I measured 6 times on both sides. The tire wants to sit higher on one side than the other. I used pure dish soap on the bead.

are you trying to inflate it standing up? I would lay it down, put lots of lube on the beads like you did and make sure the rim is centred in the tire before you blow it up,good luck hope it works for you,tony

Tony is right, however if you already are trying it laying down, then I would mount it on the tractor, and put the side that wants to seat first down, then lower the tractor just enought to coax the opposite (top) side to seat first, then the bottom may come on like normal. The only other thing I can think of is when they repaired the rim, the rim "grew", it won't take much, the steel belts in these tires, do not strech much if any at all.

I agree with Tony I tried to install one dry once and had the same trouble, try more lube and as Tony said make sure its centered HTH

I use cheap grease on the tire and wheel and have good luck. Also as RW says start wacking the unseated part of the tire and it might help. This may not be a good idea but one time I had one on a D14 do the same thing so I put it on the tractor and went for a drive and it was seated in 20 feet

I'm with Thad. I put a pair of ag tread tires on my garden tractor once. One of them wasn't quite seated properly, but after driving it the tire set up perfect. My tire wasn't nearly as far off center as yours is, however.

I was going to post using wood or something to protect the rim, and hit it hard. Or try hitting the tire to shock it to seat.
