Burrrrrr! It's currently minus 13 here   (actual, not wind chill). Supposed to get all of the way up to minus 8 for a high today. Then dip down to minus 30 over night low. Won't see an "above zero" temperature until Monday. The highest temperature in the 10 day forecast is 12 above. Ya know, I pretty regularly call them Californians "fruits and nuts." Just kind of dawned on me; they're not the ones living where it's 30 below. Hmmmm, makes me wonder. Darrel

Here's a good plan for ya Joe. Get all of your "cattlemen buddies" to join forces and by about 7 tons of cattle mineral from my boss. Then I'll get the job of delivering it down there, Then I'll just tell the boss that the truck broke down and stay there until spring! Darrel

Wow, Darrell, I didn't realize there was still your kind of weather going on. Guess you still have the polar vortex. The local weather guys rarely say anything about what is going on there. I looked up Hebron on a map and you aren't even in northern N. D. That cold surely makes for a different lifestyle than I am used to. I always wonder about how cattle, and other wild animals, survive in your kind of cold. We have traveled through N.D. on I-95 and there doesn't seem to be shelter other than gullies and hills. Some nice scenery though. We have visited the Teddy Roosevelt National Park a couple of times in the late fall around Thanksgiving. Almost no people around then.  Saw the buffalo and wild horses and I think a wolf.
Anyway, good luck with the cold weather and stay safe.

Sure Darrel come on out got 2 old shacks you could take your pick. An yes I guess I could try a load of your cow minerals, how many years would 7 ton last my 60 cows? I hope it comes in the plastic tubes mixed in the molasses lick. But I guess your outfit would be full service and you could fix me some troughs as you wait for repairs on the truck.

Yesterday the first forcast was to stay under 40 all day, but thankfully it got up to 50. But the radio is reporting idots at playing on ice out on the freeway again this morning.

There was guy that came from Arkansas I think, had 2 ton truck loaded with gates and corral panels. Parked it at the sale barn with a phone number. You could try the same with this mineral. But they bulldozed the sale barn for more houses.

Dale, you could always use the indoor facilities instead of going out over the porch railing...

Well, it's down to minus 20, and the night's still young. Might have to flip a coin here; Heads = New Mexico. Tails = California. Darrel

it's minus 3 here right now, cold with the wind chill...either way...it's still COLD! looking on the bright side, it's one more day closer to spring, and the cold will help make the "pretty" last longer!

Well, 28 is almost 60 degrees warmer than it is here this morning. I'll take it!
Now when you say that you have an "RV site", does that mean that you have a camp ground where I can bring my camper to and set up temporary home. Or is it a site where you just have your own camper. ..? And you're evidently not too far away from Ray. .? Sounds inviting. Could visit all the Allis folks out that way. Come home in the spring time by way of AC Mel's place. Wife could visit her high school friend/class mate that lives in Paso Robles. Sounds like a plan. Only thing that I am short of to put the plan into action is money. Darrel

It not KOA but the daughter lived about 6 months here in a travel trailer. She had to relearn her country roots you shower in the evening not the morning. The garden hose she had hooked to her rolling Hilton suite had issues LOL in the morning.

ConfusedConfused She has never had a problem in her life just ISSUES. Even now with 4 year old hiper little Shameless want a be WinkWink running around.

But anyway if you come out this way you better say hello Wink. Cause I would feel slighted and have to ask "my friend" to give you another present like you got for insulting his cooking I think it was.LOLLOLLOLLOLLOL

Yeah, all we ever hear is about the TERRIBLE storm heading for New England area and how bad it is and going to be.  Nobody thinks about how we (in the HIGH midwest did with the same storm just hours ago.....we live through it, we help each other and it's just part of the price we have to pay for living in GOD'S COUNTRY....Thumbs Up

Yeah, we're planning on lots of that white 'purdy' again now.... we've got 4 different storms heading in about a day/day and a half apart.  LOTS of snow coming and wind in between.  Highs in the 10s and lows in the - (luckily I was taught at an early age not to swear).....Confused

Just think Darrel,,,,,,,,,,,,, only 532 days till Hutch!!  Remember how WARM it was then...Big smile
