We are having a very wet spring! very few crops planted as many farmers were delayed by cold ground temperatures. Then the rains came! We have ducks and geese swimming in pot holes in fields! The grass is really growing and people leave ruts in their lawns when trying to mow! My past experience tells me we will get all of our rain now and be shut off later !

Same here in NC if I have one more person tell me I should have already cut my hay I will scream. Last week in April was the only week to and I didn't because I wanted a little more growth. Rains came and now it's chest high and look like June 6 or 7 will be earliest to cut.

Cold and wet! Thought I had the pellet stove all cleaned up and shut down already for next fall! Guess not had to start it again yesterday. Just hope when it turns the water spicket isn't shut off along with it getting hot.

We , here in NW Illinois, had below average ground temps and planting was delayed some. Then before we were done planting, there were dust devils everywhere all day long. Luckily we got some decent rain without drowning too many frogs and the crops look good around here. It has been damp quite a bit,the last 2 weeks, letting the grass get ahead of mowing but no complaints .
I hope we don't get shut off in June and July of needed rain. I guess it could make the price of corn and beans closer to a profitable number if we had a drought

In this part of the country Soybeans are a good crop as long as they can swim or have gills! Corn what there is of it looks sick! Hay crop is growing every day and I believe what we don't get in quality we will make up in quantity! Probably have some rutted hay fields from farmers trying to cut hay! A lot of grumpy farmers who can't joke about the situation! I told one seed supplier he needs to stock Rice! He did not laugh! In past years like this one ,a neighbor would call the local seed dealer and order frog seed to replant as his had all drowned ! I am reminded of the story of the farmer during the Dust Bowl days who put his walking plow on top of his barn. When neighbors asked him what for he replied "Well my farm is blowing away at least where ever the dirt lands it will be plowed for the next farmer"!

This past weekend, I drove down the east side of MI, across Northern OH, all the way across PA into Delaware and back. Looks like North OH is WAAAAYY behind, and southern Michigan as well. I'm not familiar with the typical schedule of things in PA, but I'd say they're behind as well. Looked weird to me to see a hay field cut next to a corn field that hadn't been touched! In my neck of the woods, we actually aren't "too bad". Some rains that went across southern Michigan missed or grazed us just barely. Fields are in decent shape.....fingers crossed.
