Is there an aftermarket radiator equivalent to OEM specs for WC-WD 45? The new ones are not cored the same and are causing over heating issues under hard pulls. No issues before the radiator replacements and have tried ones from multiple vendors . Will a 45 diesel radiator fit they have 4 rows. The over heating is on more than one tractor and again was not an issue until radiators were replaced . They ran cooler with the old half stopped up 60 year old radiators

If you still have the old rad, your best bet is to get it re-cored by a local shop. That is what I do will all of mine and I have never had any problems. Lot of the aftermarket rads are made overseas and may not be up to spec.

i finally went the route DSeries does after pfarting around in the aftermarket with the D 15.
No problems now.

Not sure what part of KY your in. I'm in Western KY and I use Mid City Radiator in Evansville Indiana. He does a great job.

I've dealt with lots of machines that suffered chronic overheating problems. Many of them were caused by plugged-up radiators, but the rest were caused by things like slipping water-pump impellers, bad thermostats, bad radiator caps, plugged up blocks, improper timing, obstructed exhaust, and head-gaskets, heads, and blocks that leaked combustion pressure into the cooling system.
I've seen guys replace radiator-after-radiator, and still have the same problem... and my only thought is 'Insanity is doing the same thing over and over, expecting a different result'.
When the WC,WD, and WD-45 rolled off the assembly lines, they went to the fields and worked with big-pants-on, and I don't think anyone ever complained about overheating issues until there was a ton of bean stubble caked over the grille. I've worked the bones out of mine on many occasions, and same for Grandpa's, and not found 'em incapable of thermal stability, or even getting all that 'warm', even with a glowing exhaust stack... so I don't think we've got a design issue here. Yeah, aftermarket parts generally suck, but still... in order to put a hurt to these things, we gotta be generating much more waste heat.
What is your tractor set up for? are you pulling a 4-bottom through clay, or running a silage blower up a 130' tube? Pumping water, or a PTO generator?

Ten Amendments, Ten Commandments, and one Golden Rule solve most every problem. Citrus hand-cleaner with Pumice does the rest.

You might check with Sandy Lake for a radiator. I bought one from them for a CA and the only difference I could see in it was the original had a tag from the original maker Perfex soldered to the tank. The core was identical.

Tractors are used for a little bit of everything . There was no issue until the old radiators were replaced with the aftermarket ones so I don't think it's a mechanical issue . You can look at both of them and tell the aftermarkets are not as hefty and have fewer cores. The problem with re coring is the tanks are pretty rotten from age but I will definitely go that rout next time !
