Topic: Question on turning cylinder bars on an M combinePosted: 24 Jul 2011 at 8:08am |

I am going to turn the cylinder bars on my M combine. I want to put in a St. Johns enclosed cylinder in it, but I a kind of waiting just in case I find a nice, low hour M2/3 or L2/3 combine to upgrade to before next year. My question is, do I have to put in new hardware, or can I use the old bolts? Thanks.

Use the old bolts unless the heads are worn to where you can not get them out. MACK

Judge for yourself, but you can also drop the complete assembly out the bottom and turn it around. You do need to remove the bearings and shafts from each end to do this, but it will stay in balance.
