had an idea the other day...i have some suitcase weights that i use on my pulling wc, but not enough for all of my weight classes. for those classes i still have to mess with some f&h rear wheel weights, which take time to put off and on and weigh 142 lbs each.  in my older years they keep getting heavier and harder to handle.....but, i've got a bunch of f&h wheel weights, both 161 and 162 style.  they don't seem to be bringing much money to sell them, so i was thinking about cutting them in half, cutting a slot in them, and hanging them on weight brackets like suitcase weights.  would be easier to handle and a lot quicker.  they've got two big slots on the outside that could be used as a handle...only downside i can see is that they would be thicker than suitcase weight and would need more room on the weight bracket.  anyone ever tried this or seen it done??

Are not 161 & 162 weights the ones that fit unstyled WC's and WF's rear wheels? Mybe someone on here would want to buy them from you, or trade. Just a thought.

A big bandsaw works well for cutting. You might also consider  cutting into 4,6, or 8 peices, whatever your comfortable lifting and build your rack to hold them accordingly.
I started out years ago with nothing.... after this divorce , I'll be getting most of it back.........

I have F&H weights on my puller.
I made a bracket out of a large piece of tubing (that fits the hole in the weights), that bolts to the rim, then I use one of those hydraulic jack lift arms (which I mounted on the front corner of my trailer) to pick up those weights, swing it around, then slide it up over that bracket onto the tractor. Then I just bolt them up tight, and ready to go.
It takes just a couple of minutes each weight, and saves the back!

Raised on a CA,WD,D10 & D15.

Now, proudly own and pull a WD45 high crop, WD45, WC,
also own a D-10, D-12, G and a CA.
