I suspect we will have a bad one this year with ticks and all sorts of pests, didn't have much of a winter
I am still confident of this;
I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Ps 27

If you remove a tick from yourself, put it into a snack size baggie.
Write down the time, date, location on the body where the tick was removed and where you think you may have gotten the tick.
Place the information inside the baggie with the tick.
Put the baggie into the refrigerator freezer.
Let your family know.
Should you get sick, take the tick with you so it can be analysed.  This will help  the medical people get you the proper treatment.

Have had them here for about a month now - dog comes in and pick them off every day .
Only had one find it's way from dog to me -
 Mainly brown dog ticks - though it seems first one I found was a deer tick on the dog

Life lesson: If you’re being chased by a lion, you’re on a horse, to the left of you is a giraffe and on the right is a unicorn, what do you do? You stop drinking and get off the carousel.

  Ole Thad mentions chiggers and Boy, do I have a tale to tell,,,,,
 Back when I was still gettin paid to work,,The company sent me to Potwin, Kansas to go secure an old refinery they had just bought. I took 4 contractors with me and got settled in  at El Dorado thinkin we was fixin to have us a grand ole time for two weeks,,,,,,,,
 So,,we go out to Potwin, and first time we drove past it ,town was so small,,,,LOL
 Found the one gas station and got directions to the plant.
We get started removing the insulation from the towers and at break,,,we pushed all them TALL weeds down so we could lay down in the shade,,,,,,OH Chit,,,,!!
 Bout the 3rd day,,, 3 of the contract guys and me got these red welts all around the beltline and itchin some terrible,,,the one guy that didn't have this strange chit had NOT wanted to go party with us after work,,so we's thinkin we ALL picked up something bad azz while,,,Partyin,,!!  After the 4th day I can't stand it no more so I take the whole crew to the Dr office in El Dorado thinkin we best get this chit rid of before we gots to go home ,,,,gulp,,,to our wives,,,,,,,,
 The Dr just laughs and laughs and tells us,,,,"You boys got CHIGGERS" Chit I don't know what chiggers is but figure it must be BADDDdddd,,!!
 He gives us a script for some Heavy Duty Cream ,,gauranteed to get rid on them devils,,,,!! It worked,,,after 2-3 days we finally all clean up but,,,,but we ain't takin no more breaks laying in them weeds,,,,,!!!!!LOLLOLLOL
