I have the same coverboards on a 4 bottom I am restoring I think they are aftermarket but not 100% sure . I'm thinking about trying to get the decals reproduced.

These were on my Dad's #73 semi-mounted SC plow.  I believe these were aftermarket additions versus original AC equipment, but I could be wrong.

So what bottoms are those? Plow bottoms aren't defined by the plow model. Each plow model or plow frame takes about a dozen  different bottoms and each bottom takes different moldboards, frogs, shin, and mostly shares. Landsides are shared between many bottoms. A few shares were used on a couple bottoms.

Gerald, I couldn't tell you what bottoms those are; it sat outside for too many years.  Couldn't read any numbers.

When I "re-did" the plow, I used different shanks & bottoms from a different "donor plow" where the bottoms, shins, moldboards and landsides were all in better shape than what I had as shown in this picture.  I didn't use these coverboards either.

I have 3-14 & 4-14 SC W/375 bottoms and the cover boards in Brian's photo. Work good.

They mount on the moldboards, not the plow frame but my plow bottom book that is early 387 vintage shows no holes in the moldboards for extensions. But these mount up top, not at the rear so may need new holes in the moldboards. In the bottoms on my plows (one Case and one 2000 Monoframe with 392 bottoms) these cover boards would only add weight to the plow, with the coulter set 1/2 or 3/4" left of the landside the top inch of the moldboard doesn't even scour because at that point the moldboard is taller than the width of the slab being turned. They might do something if there wasn't sharp coulters out front otherwise nothing would touch them.
