Local gas station owner's food stand is run with a pto generator. The 40hp IH tractor that he has been powering it with blew it's radiator today. Guy called me for a tractor to rent per hour. Offered my 190xt in work clothes. Will be running nonstop until next Thurs 8/6 when a underground electrical line is installed. Any idea on a fair price per hour? I did an oil and filter change before I drove it over. Thinking I can stretch the oil change to 150hrs. I've no idea on the fuel consumption either. The tractor is not nearly maxed out, i'm guessing the generator is drawing 50hp maybe. RPMs are at pto speed line ~2200rpms. Checked the antifreeze with a test strip and it showed good. I can't recall fuel consumption other than it took about 5 gallons willingly every morning and another almost 5 gals every night |

| I'd say 1.5 GPH at 2,200 RPM no load as per Nebraska test. At a 43 HP load at full throttle the fuel burn rate was 3.6 GPH. Your results may vary. |

We run a 14" water pump with a 200. It will go 18 hours, but it'll be empty. When were pumping water we would fill it early in the morning and every evening. For that total number of days, 9, it will use 1 1/4 oil changes. It appears it may be able to be fueled free if they have a diesel pump out there. So that leaves wear and tear on the engine. 216 hours, sitting still. I guess that's open to what the two parties can decide on. | I'm curious as to what number you settle on. If you get "free fuel", that helps some, but is really only a small fraction of a typical hourly rate. Fuel is going to run less than $15 per hour? Are you trying to be a nice guy or a businessman? |

When we hooked it up, I quoted $17/hr. No objections. They are filling with fuel. I hoped for some input before I said my number. Went to check the fluids today after lunch at about 46hrs in, engine oil was not black yet. Holding 42lbs oil pressure.
