What was the narrowest plow in each series for 2 bottom, snap coupler and 3 point hitch? Thanks Tracy

Without looking at my plow bottoms parts book, I'd guess 10 inches was the narrowest plow bottom. 60 and 70 plow frames were made with fixed plow bottom widths. The 80 has adjustable frame widths. Each frame design has a different way of connecting the plow bottom shank to the the frame to handle the effects of hitting anchored stones.
There is an article on plows over on the Knowledge forum that has links to downloadable plow frame parts book and plow bottoms book. Both will show the details of the widths of each family of plow frames.

Gerald, that was a big help.It tells each size of each series. I have a couple of questions still. What trip bottom has the little bar on outside of trip mechanism? Could each bottom of same number, as a 364,374,375 be had solid and slatted moldboard? Thanks Tracy

I've seen the 10" bottoms listed in different plow books, never seen one in person. Not sure I've even seen a 12". Fourteens all over the place with a few sixteens.

70 and 80 series are the same frame and adjustable for width, but only two inches, like 14 to 16 inch etc.. 70 series is shear bolt trip and 80 series is spring/toggle trip. Same frame between them both. 50 and 60 series were non-adjustable.

I have several of the spring trip plows. The trip mechanism is different. One has bar that is horizontal and goes down the side, the other has a clevis looking strap on rear. Tracy
