And B makes 3. Finally found a B I wanted to buy. I has it's share of issues so I will be asking(begging) for help in the future. For now it is put away in a friends pole barn. Question 1 What are the custom from rims off of?

Looks like rims from a car to me, like what you'd find on a spare.

That's what I thought.

Those rims might be off a trailer.

I have your shop manual on line at: http://geraldj.networkiowa.com/Trees/Allis-Chalmers-G-B-C-CA-Service.pdf" rel="nofollow - http://geraldj.networkiowa.com/Trees/Allis-Chalmers-G-B-C-CA-Service.pdf
Many tractor front rims are standard SAE ag rims, used on implements, wagons, trailers and sometimes cars and trucks. And were available from multiple manufacturers when the B was built and still today.

Thanks Gerald. I saved the manual. I think I may have a hard copy also for my C.

sounds like this will be your first experience with auto tires on the front. it will take some getting used to. since they don't bite into the soil as well as the original ribbed front tires, they have a tendency to slip sideways a little on turns - especially sharp turns - making those turns a little wider than planned. spooked me out at first, but you can get used to it.

Buying an educational tractor works like a charm. It is one of the most magical tractors ever built. Over the years I have watched people buy an Alice Chambers B and within weeks make it became an Allis Chalmers B. Then within months was a fully informed mechanic that could guide a newbie thru a complete overhaul.
Actually you can have fun learning while rebuilding these little tractors. You can learn more digging into the fine detail of each little part and question why. Good luck.

The rims on a B or C are 5 bolt on 4 1/2 in bolt circle. The same as Ford or Dodge used in the 60's, as well as 3500 lb. trailer axles. Standard ag 5 bolt are 5 in bolt circle.
