I bought a series II D15 that has a wide front. The tractor I grew up on had a narrow and I am thinking about changing this one. What narrow front ends will fit? Does the D14,D15 and D17 all use the same narrow front ends? I more than likely will not sell my wide front but what is a very good wide front worth and what is a reasonable price for a narrow front? Thanks Tom

I am not an expert on narrow fronts, but I doubt that a D14 NF would fit - it is about an inch narrower.  Not sure about the D17 either - it might be too tall.

Narrow fronts are worth a lot because they are hard to find.  Wide fronts are not because there are so many around.

The parts books show the same part number for the support pedestal(the vertical part) for the D14 and D15.
The steering boxes are different, with the D14 being narrower. The D17 is different.

D14 will work on a D15

You do not have to change the steering block. I'm sure the coupler for the shaft is coarse spline on the D-14 NF but fine spline on the D-15/17.  The casting will be the same.
They are not hard to find.
