Just brought home today a new allis chalmers b15 power unit and after taking off valve cover it has 6 24 1939 cast in to head on the inside . I have a few tractor hence motors that have date cast into the head. Turns over and everything but t there is a couple bent pushrods. Will tear head off tomorrow. Sheet metal is awesome and gas tank is better then new and spotless inside. If you look has a oil filter from 40s or 50s on it and plugs look like from that era. Guy I bought from got it at auction( he buys and sells part) and said it had been there for ever but never seen run. Will take apart and find out more tomorrow.

Looks like a B power unit with a gearbox for use on Combine, Roto Baler, Forage Harvester, etc.  These units had many uses.  Found a lot of them on carnival rides.  In fact when the carnival came to town we used to get some action with parts or basic maintenance.
Nice steady unts.  GREAT Find
Good Luck!

That's an awesome filter! Never seen one like that before.

Curious to see some internal pictures.
