Is it a big job rebuilding the power divider in an allis 200. Is there anything heavier duty to use. Would really like to keep it in use.

The guy who rebuilds some parts for Mark Heitman worked in extera disks on his pulling 200 and built a steel band around it incase of failure. Shift up is ok but down when pulling with it in his application is a big no no..

Pulling with it. I turned pressure up to 320. Wheels stop in my heavier class I don't think it's main clutch but I have new clutch to put in just figured it is apart I will check power director. 8500# &9500# class. It is the stock clutch now

My money says your old foot clutch slipped. A healthy PD clutch with 320 psi of pressure and properly adjusted/not worn linkage will generally hold more HP than an old foot clutch.

Linkage is in good shape tractor only has 1600 original hours. I have a new button clutch and heavy duty pressure plate. Thought while it was apart I will check in to the power director. Tractor runs strong after rebuild and hx35 turbo.

Prolly a broken clutch disc in the PD, had one do the same thing, also double check the linkage, 200,s are bad for that- bushings, platform movement etc

Your foot clutch must be slipping. A good P D will hold lots of power once locked up . I can pull 10,500 lbs in 6th gear at 3,500 rpm and don't slip a bit and will spin her out at that weight, at 13 mph.

Never had one apart was wondering I have to put new foot clutch in if I should check power director. I thought when it slipped think u would smell clutch that's why I was thinking It was power director.

No smell. Tie a tile flag onto the PTO shaft and position it so you can actually see the PTO shaft when it turns. Set the brakes hard. Place tractor in 8th gear and with the PTO ENGAGED and engine full throttle, release the foot clutch. Hand clutch slipping?......PTO is running. Foot clutch slips?.....PTO doesn't turn. Any questions??????
