    Posted: 01 Oct 2018 at 2:32pm
Does anybody have any pictures of how a 2 bottom pin hitch plow hooks up to the drawbar? Also, where can I get the pin for the plow, or is there something I can use in place of the pin?

I bought a two bottom plow that was converted to a snap coupler plow but I’d like to go back to the pin and drawbar set up.   The homemade snap coupler is bolted in place where the pin would go. It looks a little sketchy. Thanks

Sorry, I may be calling it by the wrong name. Here is a picture of the same plow, but mine has a homemade snap coupler where the pin is on this plow

The plow in the picture actually straddles the drawbar, so yes, the drawbar in this case does get used.

Yes: to hitch a WD pick-up plow to a WD, first you adjust the drawbar to its shortest length. Then back into the plow and drop a pin, any pin, into the plow. Then remove the pins that set the height of the drawbar bail. The bail is left in place and allowed to float. Then attach the two coupler to the lift arms.
If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

There is one more thing. An old WD that never had snap-coupler, the drawbar bail will not fall off of the tractor when you remove the two height position pins. The bail cannot fall off of the tractor and will free swing. If it has been converted over to snap-coupler, the bail has been modified to slots on the ends, so the bail will fall off the tractor when the height pins are pulled.

Guess I stand corrected. Must have had something else on my mind, perhaps the CA plow. Anyone have a photo of this plow hooked up?

Don't forget you "might" have to pull the pto shaft?

You better pull the pto shaft or you will hurt things at full lift. Dad had piece #9 wire welded to pull pin that reached the right length and L hooked on end.He would set it upside down in slot on step plate for pto shield and it reached down and held drawbar correct height to back into plow tunge.
