Just wanted to share a picture of my D-15 LPG High Clear, just curious if anyone knows of production numbers on it, and if it can be looked up through AGCO or anything like that as to factory production numbers for this optioned tractor. Friend of mine is a JD guy, and he can look up just about any production number through Two Cyl. Club for any tractor to see how many were made exactly, and where they were shipped. Curious if AGCO has any records like that. Thanks in advance guys!! |

Probably not too many of those around. What year is it? Norms book shows 6 high clearance D15 series I made in 1960. It also shows only 40 LPG for 1960.

Ollie: I used to belong to the two cylinder club - they (JD) and the club have maintained excellent records on tractor production and serial number right down to the day of manufacture. My limited experience in researching similar on AC equipment leads me to the conclusion that there is not day specific information on tractor serial numbers or even any monthly production or serial numbers. I do not own any JD tractors, nor do I wish to - just was interested in their technical presentation of material and data which was none less than amazing. If there are JD nuts amongst us -lurking I could be persuaded to sell my JD two cylinder collection along with a number of hard bound books.
The best AC data I have seen is embedded with the Norm Swinford periodicals. If it were not for Norm and the others folks that took credit in the preparation of those books, I would not enjoy the thought of what we would have for technical data.

My D15 series 2 is also a 1963, I have no documentation but I was told there were only 22 High clearance D15's made that year. Not sure how accurate that is

Thank you, that helps a lot too. I suppose there is no idea how many were each different fuel type?

Any sales or production records that may have existed were destroyed by Deutz during their takeover.
