Hi All. I would like to do a little paint touch up and was planning on just using a spray can. (I know). I have a spray can of Persian Orange #1 that I got straight from my local AGCO dealer, part # 79032876. I called them again to try to get a can of Persian Orange #2 and they have Part # 79014664 which is a spray can of Persian Orange, but for some reason, they cannot tell me if it is #1 or #2.
I see that there is an excellent listing by Ted J in the knowledge section that lists 79014664 as a spray can of #1, but I know for sure that 79032876 is also a spray can of #1. Can anyone confirm what color is AGCO 79014664? Also, I have a quart can of AGCO 79014785 that Ted J lists as #1. To me, it looks like #2. Can anyone confirm what color that is? I see there are multiple sources of both colors on the internet, but there must be safety issues or something because I cannot seem to get it shipped from a US supplier to where I live in Canada, which is why I am trying to get it from my local AGCO guy. Thanks. |

Biggest problem we have in the US at least is many of the ingredients to make persian orange have been discontinued or banned. Oranges/yellows/reds incidentally are probably the most toxic colors to make, lot of lead oxides and cyanates form those colors, and mfrs have to try to reformulate them or just drop the color entirely. I'm sure AGCO paint's days are numbered too and we won't be able to get the correct color at all. Can't help on the part #'s but they do often change over the years.

AGCO is odd labeling the paint. If it is PO#1 it will say Persian Orange #1. What is labeled Persian Orange is PO#2.

I contacted tractorpartsASAP.com and like you said 55allis, they have it but they are unable to ship it to me in Canada. I guess with a gasket or a bearing or something, there is less chance of something spilling or exploding or whatever during shipping.

I am sure that I do, although I haven't really looked into it. All I really need is a can of spray at this point. I have been able to confirm that AGCO Part# 79014664 is PO#2 in a spray can and I have ordered some from my local AGCO guy. That should solve my immediate problem. I had found various references to that AGCO number indicating that it was both PO#1 and PO#2, so it was a bit confusing. I found the AGCO Heritage Parts Catalogue online and it clearly states that 79014664 is PO#2 in a spray can confirming what Alvin M indicated earlier.
