Very interesting ! In 2010 we had a holiday in Panama and toured the length of the canal.
We met with a local expert who was documenting equipment that was still in place from the start of the first third lane construction in the late 1930's. That construction was halted when the second world war broke out. He had posted on this forum looking for info on Allis-Chalmers crushers and I had some info. We determined that the crusher installation was not completed when construction stopped . He couldn't figure out why only part of it was still in place. This was all going to be removed for the new third lane construction.
Fun to have added a little to the project.
