What kind or type of paint should a poor old city-farmer use and should they be primed.On 180 Allis rear rims.

ALWAYS use primer!!!  New paint will stick better to it.  Rustoleum almond color is pretty much spot on.  I use it on all my tractors.

Always use primer, I prefer gray primer for wheels n rims. I'd use the Rustoleum Almond on wheel centers and an aluminum color on the actual rim. A lot of farm equipment mtg used that for their rims. I've used this combo several times.
