I hey guys I’m at the paint stage in my restoration of my C it is a 1942 I think it should technically have P.O. 1? But I am curious can someone post a comparison of the two? I can’t seem to find any side by sides. Also if anyone has paint codes for them I would appreciate it.

ALL B and C tractors were PO1 color...... the brighter PO2 didnt show up till the "D" series tractors sometime around 1959-60.
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

#2 appears to me to have more red in it.  There are plenty of C's and CA's painted with #2 because some like it over the #1.  Myself, I like #1 but unless it's the first one made off the line, it won't affect the value of the tractor, gives tire kickers something to dicker about.  Paint it whatever you like but I would try to see them in person, pictures can be deceiving.
Maximum use of available resources!

I've always thought the PO 1 with the slight brownish tint was more of a "unique" orange, you can tell it's an Allis color. PO 2 is closer to a generic safety orange or tractor orange.

2 is prettier than 1 but just looks odd on those requiring 1. Uncle painted his 45 2 years ago and it looks good but it looks "funny". Do what you like,it's yours.

Then during war shortage years some were painted with a even more yellow look. Dad had a 1946 WC that was more yellowish. I've got parts of it still in the shed.

Just so everyone knows I am not doing the paint and body work myself. that is a skill I do not posses. I rebuilt the motor and got it running but making it look pretty is in someone else's hands... here is a little tease as to what's to come
