Bought a snap coupler subsoiler at auction Saturday. Looks like the unit on the bottom of page 238 in Norm's book. According to the book, they were sold in western states. Mine has a stencil on the side of the beam that reads Allis Chalmers Mfg Co. Second line says Rockford, and rust bubbles make what is beyond that unreadable. Did Allis ever have a manufacturing facility in a city named Rockford? Or could this indicate a branch house that the implement was sold through? Anyone have an operator manual for this unit? |

Some of those came with wings for use as ditcher. Unbolt the wings and you
have a subsoiler. I have one of them. |

Mine has been modified. It has an Oliver middle breaker mounted on the bottom of it. The hitch is also modified. That is why I would like to find a manual or photos of a similar unit to see what it is supposed to look like.

Does yours have a straight shank or a curved shank? I have manuals
for 3 different models. |
