Anyone have info on a 640 NH rd baler? Can you adjust the auto trip bale size on an auto wrap. I know you can "trip" it manually, but can you set it to auto trip at less than max size? Thanks

I have a 648 baler and you can adjust the auto tie. Look on the right side. There should be an adjustment about head high. You shorten or lengthen a rod. Can't remember wich way does what. Would help if you had a book. Bill

I think that if it is the sme as my 660, you would look on the right side of the baler behind the shield, and about waist high or so right in the area of the twine drive mechanism. There you should find a pin, about an inch in diameter and about four inches long that runs horizontally, and will have several holes through it all in a line with a hair pin through one of these holes. Moving the hair pin to a hole closer to the front of the baler will make a smaller bale, and moving the hair pin to a hole towrds the back of the baler will make a bigger bale. I hope this helps, Darrel

Thanks, looking to upgrade from the 846 chain type which is a smaller auto-wrap but no adjustment. I guess the one I saw must have been a good deal - sold before we could get them called.
