   Starting to try and learn something about auto steer/auto pilot alternatives. Where's a good source for info or good starting place for info.

	i went to my AGCO dealer and they sell trimble gps systems. i bought the FM 750 and love it. i dont have auto steer on it but would love to get it though. the fm 750 is very user friendly. i kind of know what im doing but my dad is not real computer savy so i went with the 750 cause it will walk you through it. its a starting point. hope that helps. But like i said my agco dealer eally knows alot about it. went to a deere dealer and told them i want to spend about 5k and they just said "we cant help you". not enough i guess.

	We were told by a local farmer that is on the cutting edge of everything that the Trimble is the best holding a straight line pass to pass. We have 3-750's. The AC8070's use a rubber wheel and the NH9884 uses the electric steering under the steering wheel. We use omnistar in the AC's for planting and the free signal in the NH. The hardest part about them is the first day when you have to let go of the wheel. I only got 30 or acres planted the first day. Had to get the men out of town to come and make things work. The second day things worked great. You will not, you can not believe how tiring steering all day can be. You'll love it.

	I've got a CaseIH/trimble EZ steer which has the rubber wheel against the steering wheel for auto steer, and I love it. It's the only one I've ever been around, so I don't have much to compare it to, but I would buy another one if I could. I use the free signal with no problems at all. Darrel
