My best wishes to you, Darrell, and your directors, and all the volunteers who make your show so great. I'm president of our county historical society and we made the decision to cancel our Spring Festival on April 14, almost 6 weeks before the show was scheduled. Wanted to give everyone proper notice. It was a very difficult decision to make but it was the only decision we could make.

Thanks for the heads up Darrell. Sad, but inevitable, what with the world today. I'll miss seeing all the great guys and gals who come every year, and the new comers who will come for the first time.
This way is best, but it is a hard decision and the planning. Maybe it'll make next years event even more 'spectacular'.

Let's be honest with ourselves guys, it is not like we are a group of 18 year olds. Most of us are over 65. Not exactly the healthiest bunch we are. Maybe we could figure out how to do it virtually.

The Allis Connection board of directors have decided that we will have the 29 th annual Father’s Day show June 20 th and 21 st at the Middle Amana park Iowa, where it has been held for the past several years; watch for signs at the intersections if you are new to the area. We will do our best to offer a safe environment.

So sad to see that.  If Shameless an I promis not to come, would you change your mind? If covid an the rioters/rioters/antifa/looters/etc. promise not to show up would you reschedule? What about those that want to get their toys out of the shed an play with them? Will you have a 'private' fun day for them?
Boy, that is going to hurt a bunch of businesses that planned on the people showing up... like hotels an restaurants etc.
And it is still a month and a half away. Things could look different by that time... lookin like 2020 goin to suck this year. Prolly best for the old men not to catch something that they don't need or want. Worse is all these looters and 'peaceful' rioters that had the china flu that bumped elbows and breathed on everyone will probably help flare up a new round of crap in the cities and spread out from there... Guess maybe you folks made the right call on this event.

Pat we harvest the wheat later this year, sell the wheat and straw, plow the ground and seed some wheat for next years Orange Spectacular and the GOTO.
