That is a neat little tool! I used the gas powered post hole digger with 6" auger that I bought from Horrible Fright to plant tomatoes and peppers this year.

Now you went and done it. You posted them pictures on an AC forum. Now you have to tell them that they have to stock up on a lot of orange paint because of this.

You can buy the black ones by going to their website, "PowerPlanter.com". The orange ones will only be available at a "box store" at some point in the near future. When I find out which store(s), I'll let you know.
If you go to their website, you can see all the different variations they make. I posted a pic of a 3" x 12". They've got shorter ones, longer ones, bigger/smaller diameters, etc. Over ten different models. Edited by Brian F(IL) - 28 Jul 2020 at 3:21pm |

Do they make one that will auger ice? Might be a little profit in one of those. It would sure beat pulling a full size auger out there, and be lot's easier that a hand auger.

I was just told the ice auger and garden auger combo is in the works. Not sure when it will be available to the market. May want to check their website in a few weeks (no ice for awhile anyway

Just got word from my nephew, the orange augers are now available. If you go to homedepot.com and search for "powerplanter" you should be able to order online. Unfortunately, the orange ones are not available at the link that Steve posted above. The orange ones are only available via homedepot.com.

If you get one with the long shank, you don't have to bend over. Just drill the hole, drop in the bulb and kick some dirt on it!

Oh, in fact, this is a very convenient thing; I recently purchased such a thing. No longer do you need to dig out everything yourself with a shovel, just put on the nozzle, and in a couple of seconds, everything is ready. It remains to purchase tree loppers for more convenient work, which I ordered and is already coming to me. Only I don't like the fact that the paint itself can slip in the place where you put the nozzle on. I think there should have been no paint and left that material without stain. And so, the thing is very convenient, a beautiful orange color, what you need. I really have such a black, but there is no visible dirt itself.
