Options for sending a 7050 down the road

First off I wanted to thank everyone for their help in answering all of my questions regarding swapping an engine into a 7050 that I picked up.  For anyone who did not see the thread I bought a 7050 that was used as a pump tractor for a manure business.  The tractor had a slight knock, but the owners (good friends of mine) believed it would last quite a few years as a blower tractor.  Well, we guessed wrong and it threw a rod through the side of the block almost immediately.  I found a replacement motor on this forum that I was going to buy and swap in.  In the meantime a mechanic that I know suggested draining the rest of the fluids being that I had not really driven the tractor much before it blew.  Well I drained the transmission this morning and found quite a bit of metal chuncks which appear to be splines off of a thin gear.  Reaching my finger around inside I feel a lot of metal shavings.  Unfortunately I was not looking for this big of a project right now and need to send this thing down the road.

If you're going to sell it, sell it to a tractor boneyard or someone who will part it out.   At least like what OrangePower said, it will help to keep others still running.   Scrap is up but that is prepared steel also.   I don't know what that tractor weighs, but once you take off all the stuff that is not steel, especially tires, the overall weight drops a bunch.   I would think you can easily find someone that should be willing to give you what the scrap man will for it, and at least it can be parted out and used to save others.  Or someone may be willing to buy it and fix it up.    I almost bought a 7000 series tractor last spring that the guy only wanted 2400 for, and I thought it was worth it just by what the tires looked like etc.   Tractordata states the operating weight as 14525.   Say that the weight of the steel in it is 5-6 tons.   I don't know what scrap is right now but this fall it was 200 a ton prepared by me so you're still talking 1000-1200 bucks at that price.   I would think you could find someone will to buy it for that just for the parts value.    If it wasn't so big and so far away, I might be interested, but I don't have anything to haul something that big. 

Thanks everyone for your help.  I have been calling around today and now have a plan.  I will be moving this over to the classifieds section and including pictures.  The tractor is up for sale for the next week.  I am looking for $2,000 for it as it sits.  I am also open to selling off of it any parts that anyone may be interested in.  Anyone interested should contact me right away, because next Monday whatever is not spoken for goes down the road.  I will PM those that have contacted me so far.
