There is an Agco Allis 1614H mower for sale in the neighborhood.  According to simpletractors.com, this is the same as a Simplicity Broadmoor-H mower, which seem to get good reviews from their owners.  The one for sale locally appears to be in decent used condition (see pics).  The owner says he just did an engine oil/filter and hydro fluid change and says it rides and drives as it should.  I haven't heard it run or driven it.  The only thing I did notice is a bit of slop in the front axle pivit pin, and some slop in the front wheels (could be moved a bit when pushing and pulling on the top of the front tires).  I have a small suburban yard, and a mower of this size would be a good fit.  Anybody had any experience with this model?  What would be a fair price for a used unit in working order in your area?

I have the same model Agco Allis 1614H I purchased new in 91. I like it very well. It has a single cylinder14 hp Kohler engine. I have the turbo blower & rear bagger attachment. The front wheel spindle bushings may need to be replaced.

The guy that owns it is asking $500, which seems a bit too high, especially if the front pivot and wheel bushings need replaced.  Suggests the unit might have mowed a lot of acres, or maybe never saw a grease gun...

Its a good mower, would recomend it. The price sounds about 50 to 100 too high, but not to bad. I gave 850 for the one I have, last year, but it only had a 100 hours on it.
