Got a call from a friend this morning telling me my picture was in the paper.  It was in an article about a Farmers Market I sell at, didn't expect the article to be printed so soon.  Here's the link, http://www.timescall.com/top-stories/ci_32549359/broomfield-farmers-market-seeking-vendors-season-starts-june-11

Then a few minutes later I got an email about an old friend had passed Sunday morning in his sleep, the day after his 62d birthday.  Hear he had some problems but when I saw him a couple months ago, he was doing better and looking forward to farming this spring.  Leaves a wife and four kids, all successful, none married yet.

That's life I guess.

Congrats for getting recognized for doing good for your community and sorry for the loss of your friend. Such a conflict of feelings. We just never know when some ones or our own time is up. Take care.

Must be something with that age. Best friends dad passed Monday at 62. He's had a long battle with dimensia and went down hill about a month ago then finally passed.

Congrats on the article John

Congratulations, John! You are now a local celebrity. Handsome guy on the front of that tractor, now you will have lots more ladies flocking to your front door.

On a more somber note, sorry about the loss of your friend. We never know when our time is up and God will call us into eternity.
Just an old country boy saved by the grace of God.

NOW then, how come for that picture you didn't get them to take one of your good side? BAHAHA LOL

Are you gonna save some of them stone fruits (peaches) for Hutch this year??  My mouth is already watering just thinking about them.

And don't just be giving em away...you gotta pay for gas gettin them there,,,,,or some beers to get rid of the gas Wink
