   On my AC 620 Onan, only the machine screws you see on the front held the stator in place. I removed the screws, and the stator came loose.

   remove the srcews pry out evenly dont pinch wires dont pry on the coils some slide of easy some go hard  the vanish on those wires are insualtion so it does not ground out inspect for any burnt spots or greenspots
