the old lady....oooops...I mean the loving wife says she thinks I better go gits one of them smart phones????? WTF for???? says we need to change our internet around so I don't hafta wait for her phone to be here to get the internet. PffffT!

HMMmmmm,,,lemme see if I got this right,,,, you NOT using YOUR trusty laptop for YOUR internet,,,?? Well,,if you aren't....you ain't alone . There are more and more people that rely on their smart phones for "ALL" their means of social communication,,,, and most of those do not even have a home PC at all. Two of my under 35 sons do not own a home PC and do all their searching, texting, talking with friends, and,,,,and,,,yes,,, even picture taking on their smart phones,!! hint, hint,,,,  I fount pretty quick,,I wasn't gonna be part of thet group cause of my arthritic hands, fingers,  You see all them peoples carry on with BOTH of their thumbs just aflyin on them little bitty keyboards,,,,CHIT,,I do good just to be able to use one finger,,,and even have to switch from hand to hand on them rare long winded messages of mine,,,,,,

well shameless if you dont want to get a new phone you could check and see if your provider has a HOT SPOT,,,,it uses the cell service and it dont use up the phone line,,,just add it to you plan
i have one from verizon,,,dont use it anymore,,,but when i did it worked really good,,,,im sure other providers have them too,,,better than using the phone for a hot spot connection,,,they told me the radio part was stronger or something like that,,,but i do know it worked pretty good for me
and you can use it anywhere you have cell service just like you phone,,,,only it dont make calls
just a thought ,,,,and it might be cheaper than buying a new smart phone,,,,they sure are proud of them dang things

i'm using a "Verizon hot spot" right now, it's the only way we can get internet here where we live. have had all them other companies here checking and all of them tell me a gotta cut all the trees outta the creek and around the house. my fwip phone has the plan of a lot less internet time on it, but the old lady's....ooooops….I mean the loving wifes smart phone has the unlimited time on it. she says if I gits the smart phone we can switch that over from hers to mine.
