Well here it is. 1961 D15 with an Allis 400 loader?, 3 point and power steering, tires are not great. Have to move some tractors around and put it in the shop and get it fired up. They wouldn't budge on their price, $1000. What do you think?.

Nice straight tractor, hope she fires easy for you

I just paid exactly that for just a 415 loader -

AND had a 10 hour drive to go get it.

You got a steal - even if it is the 149 engine.

Cleaned the sediment bowl, carb bowl and put in new plugs and it was running and drove it around. Padded seat and power steering, WOW, new concept to me. Runs smooth, good oil pressure, temp gauge doesn't work and the float fell off the gas gauge.

i think you scored, i have a 61' D 15  also and it is  a great tractor for number of jobs from pushing snow to bush hog'n. and many other jobs.  I wouldn't sale  it for less than $6000. although I have completely overhauled the engine, rebuilt the transmission , new tires and repainted it  and it runs like new.   Again they are a nice little tractor.

Fenders are a little dinged, but not rotted out. Loader looks really good. No welds or bends that i can see. Awesome!

It wants to jump out of 2nd gear but I knew that before I went to look at it so it does need a little work. Loader and 3 point seem to work real nice.

Ironac, everybody thinks you have to get the series 11 with the 160 engine. A 149 is a good motor. The govenor arrangement on a D15 149 is different then on a D14.
MNLonnie, you got a great deal on that tractor!! I bought a 62 that hadn't run in 4 years for $1500., 2100 hrs, good tires, straight metal, PS, snap coupler, but no loader, and thought I did good. Since I put an overbore kit in my D14 I think it it has more spunk then the D15. LOL Bob

Yep, I'd have asked more at least 1001.

I've been snowblowing with my 8N but since I put my backhoe on that tractor this summer I've been needing a different tractor, I guess this will be the one.

The 149 engine in the D15 is more power than the 14, 40hp compared to 34, the engine also has the full flow oil system with the normal full flow oil system, so the engine isn't just a D14 engine.
