I just joined the forum today although I have been reading topics for several months.
I just wanted to thank all of you for allowing me to use your wisdom to do some repairs and adjustments on my 55 CA. I was ready to pull my hair out (not much left) due to slipping hand clutch when I read a posting here on adjusting by Wil M (NEIA).
The photos were great, and now I can finish pulling my brush out back.
Love my CA, and enjoy reading the forum. Plan on being a regular visitor.
Thanks againSmile

Welcome Mr. Burnette. I know you are going to enjoy being here. Don't be afraid to answer questions when you feel you have something to add. most importantly, never be afraid to ask a question. There is no dumb question. Truth be known, moswt of us have been in the same spot and somehow finally received an answer, sometimes at great expense because we wouldn't ask questions.

Thanks for the warm welcome!
I will try to send photos of before and after, before when it was an abused hunk of machinery to after now that she is spoiled.
Keep in mind that it is NOT a show piece but a working tractor that I have replaced many parts, built others and tracked down oil leaks with much success.
I really enjoy working on her and have displayed her in the front yard on Holidays.
The wife thinks I'm nuts.....but I'll get over it!
Thanks again and have a safe Holiday. BB

Welcome - I found the way to bring my wife around was to get her a tractor of her own--
worked good -- she loves her own tractor -- LOL Our tractors are working girls in their work clothes - some really beautiful tractors out there, that I enjoy seeing and some very talented mechanics --- but I'm neither -- just enjoy what I can do and try to learn more.
Great site for that.

Glad you brought that up, I was thinking of giving her (wife) the CA and I have my eye out
for a 1957 WD45 with wide front. That is my birth year and my Grandad had one as well.

Every wife should have her own tractor.  I bought my wife a track loader several years ago.  However,..................I draw the line at "guns".
Why is there never time to do it right the first time, but always time to go back and fix it?
